Season 2: The Forgev1.3.1

Season 2 is here — the Forge turns your gear slots into your progression, the Druid joins as a fifth class, and Sockets & Gems, the Convergence endgame, Rift Raids, the Arc Pass, Daily Missions, the Guild Skill Tree and Retaliation arrive alongside a full balance pass.

New Features

A new class: the Druid — a wild guardian who channels their strength into a mighty pet companion. Take up the two-handed Gnarled Stick, turn your pet into a force of nature and master three brand-new skill trees: Lodge, Tunnels and Symbiosis. Explore the Druid's skill tree.
The Forge — your gear slots now carry the upgrade progression (tier, enhance and awaken) with the same costs and pity, so any item you equip instantly performs at that slot's full power. Your progress carries over: at launch every gear slot inherits the upgrades of your best matching item, and every other upgraded item you own is refunded in gold and fragments by mail. Each slot tier also opens an affix position, every tier-up grants a Free Pick, and empty positions can be filled on any item.
- Gear score counts only the slots you have an item equipped in — each scores its slot's upgrades plus a small bonus for the item's rarity, while empty slots (such as a bare Torch slot or the off-hand under a two-handed weapon) add nothing.
Sockets & Gems — every gear slot gains sockets that you unlock and level up with gold, starting at monster level 20 (the same 20 sockets for every class). Monsters drop gems in four families (Garnet, Jade, Lapis and Amber) and five rarities, and each gem's bonus depends on where it sits: weapon, Torch, armor or jewelry. Fuse three into the next rarity, salvage spares into Gem Dust, recut their bonus stats and hunt the rare drop-only Flawless gems.
Rift Raids — team up in parties of 2–4 against a Rift Titan scaled to your party's Might. Everyone lands one 30-second strike, earns a graded reward bundle and opens Spoils Chests, with a season-long Rift Raids leaderboard.
The Convergence — a new endgame biome from monster level 350. Fill its seats with any monster in the game, or leave them wild for random foes and rare Convergent elites. Every kill builds your Convergence Level and the monsters grow with it, always holding you at the toughest tier you can handle. Spend your levels in the Lattice — a 37-node tree with six constellations, keystones and endless Stars — and climb the new Convergence Level leaderboard.
Guild Skill Tree — every guild level grants a skill point, and leaders and officers choose where it goes across eleven bonuses, with an endgame of Mastery and Family nodes. Existing guilds start on a balanced layout with a free reset. Plan your guild's build in the simulator.
Arc Pass — a 30-level season pass for your Seasonal character with a Free track and a Premium track (3,000 Arcstone): resource packs, boosts, Arc Caches, the Forge Pass skin set and two exclusive name decorations.
The Torch gets its own slot — every class can now wear a Torch alongside its real off-hand.
New weapons for every class — side-grades rather than upgrades: the two-handed Greatsword, Crossbow and Grand Staff, and dual-wielded Rogue Claws with crit chance on each claw, dropping from monster level 25.
Armor side-grades — twelve new chest, helmet, glove and boot alternatives trade part of their defense for a second bonus, including rare finds like the Harmonic Cuirass and the Sage Diadem (+All Class Skills).
Dungeon Destinations — choose where your dungeon run goes: the Crypt, the Gold Hoard, the Den, the Vault or the Mine, each specialising in its own rewards. The What you'll find preview includes any active event bonuses.
Reforge raises rarity — combine three identical items into one of the next rarity, keeping the affixes you locked with Anchor Stones. Transmute now costs a flat number of fragments.
Retaliation replaces Thorns — your armor now strikes back at every enemy attack, blocked ones 50% harder, as a third damage pool built from your Defense and Reflecting that rides your crits and double hits. The new Bulwark stance is built around it, but your Dodge chance is 0% while you fight in Bulwark.
Daily Missions — the per-biome daily quests are replaced by 3–5 rolled missions a day from activities you already do, paying rubies, Arcstone and pet eggs, with free daily re-rolls.
Permanent character slots — at a season's end you can now Keep Both: park your old Permanent character in a purchasable slot (up to 5) and switch between your Permanent characters any time.
Guild Legacy Chapters — when a season ends, your seasonal guild continues on the Permanent realm with its level, skill tree, members and treasury, so a transferred hero keeps their guild.
Combat now has sound — hand-crafted attack and critical-hit sounds for every class, timed to land with each hit. Adjust or mute them in Settings.
Goblin Invasion — a new opt-in event: while an invasion runs, your kills can lure out nine themed goblins, each with its own loot, building toward your very own Goblin King.
Talisman Inscriptions without a sacrifice — inscribe an equipped talisman directly for rubies and gold, with a 14% chance of a free Lucky Inscription.
A new stat: +% Life on Hit & Life on Kill — multiplies all of your on-hit and on-kill healing. It rolls on the new Bloodthirsty drop bonus and on a Torch-only affix.
Legendary Pets leaderboard — a new ranking of everyone's highest-compounded legendary pet.

Progression & Balance

Seasonal monster HP follows one smooth curve — the sudden HP walls are gone, early monsters are tougher, and HP is higher from monster level 10 onward. Rewards per kill are unchanged.
Higher rarities start dropping earlier at a small chance — Uncommon from monster level 10, Rare from 45, Epic from 90 and Legendary from 150.
Class loot skills rebalanced — every class now earns comparable gold and material bonuses from its loot skills (the Rogue keeps a gold edge), and every class except the Mage has some item drop chance.
Pet hatch bonuses rebalanced — Life on Hit, Crit Chance, Life on Kill, Double Hit and Double Damage now roll higher, but legendary compounding grows more slowly at high levels (existing pets are recalculated automatically). Before, every legendary bonus gained ×1.20 per compound level, except Attack Damage, Pet Damage, Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence, which dropped to ×1.10 after +10. Now:
- Attack Damage, Pet Damage, Retaliation, Crit Chance, Critical Damage, Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Item Find, Gold Gain and Experience Gain: ×1.20 up to +10, ×1.10 up to +30, then ×1.07.
- Max Health, Dodge, Double Hit, Double Damage, Block, Life on Hit and Life on Kill: ×1.20 up to +10, then ×1.10.
- Defense: ×1.20 up to +10, then +2% per level.
Pet compounding rewards a balanced team — an equipped pet's compound bonus now counts up to at most 10 compound levels above your least-compounded equipped pet (25 on the Permanent realm), and an empty pet slot counts as +0. For example, a +30 pet next to +5 pets works as a +15 until you compound the others — nothing is lost, and the full bonus returns as they catch up.
- Lower compound caps: Uncommon pets now compound up to +10, Rare up to +20 and Epic up to +30 (was +50, +100 and +150). Legendary stays uncapped, and pets already above their new cap keep their level and bonus.
Talismans climb inscriptions together — past 100 inscriptions, your two equipped talismans now stay within 100 of each other all the way to 10,000. A talisman that is further ahead keeps all its stats but waits for its partner: a 600 next to a 150 can be inscribed again once the other reaches 600.
Lucky Tier reworked — a lucky proc can now turn a Legendary drop into Infernal, gear Lucky and Black Market stack as one pool, and from monster level 260 Lucky also raises your Gilded chance.
Harmony keeps pace deep into the endgame — its bonus grows much faster past monster level 180.
The Elemental Conflux is a rare-material farm — from monster level 90, Abyssal Ember, Eternal Sigil and Primeval Core drop about three times as often there when you fight at your highest monster level.
Smoother monster leveling past monster level 50 — the kills-to-level walls at 130 and 160 are gone, so mid-game levels come noticeably faster.
Monster Level progress now depends on the monster — from Murky Depths onward, each biome's weakest monster counts 10% less and its strongest 10% more.
More item drops early on — +40% item drop chance at monster level 1, fading out by monster level 41.
Lucky and Frenzy drop bonuses keep climbing through the Gilded, Radiant and Mythic tiers on newly dropped items, while ordinary tiers roll slightly lower.
Item drop bonuses give smaller returns above +300%; ordinary builds are unaffected.
Salvage reworked — salvage now pays by rarity and gilding, with fewer fragments and rubies per item.
Awakened gear upgrades need more monster materials the deeper the awaken, and Awakening 3–4 now use Echo apex materials, so the whole monster rotation is worth farming.
Warrior defensive path — Iron Constitution, Battle Recovery and Crushing Blows now grant defense, and Counterstrike replaces Victory Rush. Points in those skills are refunded for free.
Rogue crit and double-hit skills slightly reduced — Precision Strikes, Sharpened Blades and Swift Blades.
The Tower hits back much harder, especially on deep floors.
Guild level-up costs follow one smooth ramp from level 15 — no more jump at level 40, but steeper costs past level 55.
Guild member slots are now seasonal for seasonal guilds — no member is ever removed by the reset.
Rare Material Exchange rates changed — trading up costs more, trading down pays more.

Quality of Life

Class changes keep your gear intact — whole gear presets convert, two-handers become the new class's two-hander, and converted weapons return to their original form if you switch back.
Loot toasts — item drops now show a rarity-coloured toast with the item's bonus and affixes; tap it to open the item.
The Item Codex explains every drop bonus in detail, including Elemental Surge.
Item comparison shows the base roll of drop bonuses enhanced with Astral Catalysts.
Automation starts fresh each season — auto-salvage, rune auto-salvage, pet auto-sell and material auto-convert begin switched off on a new seasonal character.
Activities and settings menus reorganised to fit small phones.
Favourite Pets — your favourites are listed first, with faster +1 / +10 / +100 / MAX point buttons.
The Rune Words picker hides options your locked rune words make impossible.
Readable HP — whole numbers, with large values shortened (e.g. 123.46B).
New season-first announcements in chat and on Discord — Arc Pass completions, character level milestones, Rift Raid Titans, rare armor drops and more, plus event and Goblin Invasion alerts.
Quieter world chat — pet compound and talisman announcements now celebrate records and milestones instead of every step.
More system messages in your language, including leaderboard promotions and guild notices.

Visuals & Cosmetics

A new Boss Fight and Guild Boss arena — a painted battlefield lit in each boss's colours, with a cleaner HUD and a proper finish.
Monsters now play a death animation when they fall.
The Druid casts nature magic — vines, leaves and blooms on every hit, with its own Void, Infernal and Divine versions.
Forge Pass skins — a 20-piece skin set with its own ember effect, earned through the Arc Pass.
Season 2 Voyager (Animated) — a Season 2-exclusive name decoration in the Arcstone Store, on sale only this season.
Premium skin sets grow — Void, Infernal and Divine gain skins for the new weapons (free for owners of the complete set), and armor skins now dress the new side-grades.
